Gospel star Sifiso Ncwane has been hospitalised after reportedly contracting malaria during a recent trip.
Ncwane’s wife Ayanda posted a message on Instagram, asking fans to pray for the sick musician.
"As you sleep tonight pls put @sfisoncwane in your prayers, he caught malaria while he travelled to Musina a week ago... We are trusting the great physician Doctor Jesus for healing" - she posted.
According research, Malaria is a major health problem in sub-Saharan Africa, with 174 million cases a year being diagnosed.
The disease is transmitted by mosquitoes, which breed in stagnant water such as shallow puddles along dam shorelines.
Malaria symptoms include fever, headache, flu-like symptoms, body aches and pains, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.
