SILENCE and long grass surrounds the house where Senzo died.
But there is no ghost to be seen.
The man who claims to have bought the house and who lives there said there is no ghost.
“Everyone sleeps peacefully,” he said.
“Just because there is long grass in the yard doesn’t mean that there is a ghost.”
The house at Kutlwanong Street in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, Gauteng where Senzo Meyiwa, the late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, was shot dead, used to belong to Kelly Khumalo’s mother.
The new owners said they are not experiencing any strange events.
Neighbours told Daily Sun they get along well with the new owners of the house.
They said they are tired of rumours surrounding the house and they don’t see any ghost playing soccer in the neighbourhood, as people claim.
“People ask us about Senzo’s ghost all the time,” said a neighbour.
“We don’t know about any ghost!”
Reports on social platforms have been saying the house has a ghost that gives people sleepless nights. They also said the ghost is heard playing soccer on the roof and in the yard.
A neighbour told the SunTeam Kelly’s family moved out of the house just days after Senzo was killed.
Kelly’s sister Zandi told Daily Sun she didn’t want to speak about the ghost, the house, or whether it had new owners.
“I’m going to hang up now,” she said and ended the call.
Kelly answeredd her phone and said she was too tired to comment.
"Write what you want i am tired," she said
