Mpho Mokoena placed his school Alafang Secondary School in township Katlehong, East of johannesburg, on the map after getting seven distinctions.
Mokoena reportedly scored 100% Maths, Physical Sciences, Geography, English, Life Orientation, History and Sesotho.
The teenage boy has been trending on social media since the news was revealed.
Matric results will be available on Sowetan LIVE on January 6, 2015.
