I will not eat prison food : King DALINDYEBO

Convicted king Dalindyebo has been hospitalised after refusing to eat prison food.
While the AbaThembu royal family are deliberating to find a replacement for convicted king Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo, he was hospitalised after refusing to eat prison food.
Just nine days into his 12-year sentence, Dalindyebo went on a hunger strike that landed him in hospital, saying he did not belong in prison. He was admitted to St Dominic Hospital in East London.
Dalindyebo was convicted for a string of crimes including arson, assault and kidnapping relating to offences committed in the 1990s. He handed himself over to the authorities after several bids to avoid imprisonment.
Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema said he and members of the party met the king and advised him to start eating again. Malema criticised the ANC government, saying what they were doing to the king was “humiliation”.
“We are not saying the king should not account for the wrong he has done, but we are talking about the king here, this is humiliation, ” said Malema.
The EFF leader called on the ruling party to reconsider and put the king under house arrest. Cultural expert professor Pitika Ntuli said Dalindyebo was a private citizen and had to be treated like any other citizen.
However, Ntuli said the royal family could appeal to government, or go to the wronged families and apologise to find a solution. In terms of a replacement, Ntuli said the royal family always had candidates in line, should something happen to the king.
“In this instance, the family will just take the strongest suitable [person] in line to replace the king.”
Correctional services spokesperson Manelisi Wolela confirmed the king was admitted to hospital, but refused to divulge further information.
