No naked girls or sex: Sushi king Kenny Kunene told

KENNY Kunene celebrated his 45th birthday party at Maloko Club in Pretoria on Friday night sans naked girls and expensive champaigne.
In what looked like the mighty have fallen, his sushi tactics were reduced to a mere plate and there was no wads of cash to be thrown to the crowd this time around. Neither was sex nor naked girls entertained this time at the sushi king's party.
The club, which was packed to capacity, was also celebrating five years of business and Kunene's birthday bash was just a side show.
Club owner Allan Kobeissi said he told Kunene from the onset that there would be no naked girls at this club due to "premium" status.
"We were celebrating five years of Moloko and I'm very happy about how things turned out. For the fact that Kenny chose us this means we are the best. Because we are a premium venue we agreed from the beginning that there will be no sushi served on naked girls. We don't want to be appearing in the papers with such reputation of serving sushi on naked girls," said Kobeissi.
Kunene popped Moet to signal the start of his celebrations but the party was way cheaper than what he became known for in the past few years.
Among the drinks served at his designated VIP area were Belvedere Vodka and Glenfiddich, cheaper choices than Kunene's previous taste of Krug champaigne and Johnnie Walker gold and blue labels.
Kobeissi said Kunene footed his bill just after the event but refused to divulge the figures.KUNENE had a good company of all sorts of girls, from sexy to your average girl from next-door.
Metro FM's Tbo-Touch graced the stage with entertainers such as Motswako rapper Khuli Chana, Sumboy and the Naked DJ.
We could not access Kunene at the event as burly bouncers formed a ring of steel around his enclave at the venue.
The controversial businessman and start up DJ could not be reached on his phone yesterday
