Husband Catches Pregnant Wife "Doing It" With Her Lover"

A Durban man escaped a spell in jail after he assaulted his pregnant wife with an iron bar when he found her with a lover in their matrimonial bed.
Khotso Vhuro, 33, pleaded guilty when he appeared before magistrate Langton Lakwengi facing charges of assaulting Mildred Mokwena, 27, with an iron bar on the forehead and leg.
Lakwengi spared Vhuro a jail term but slapped him a $20 fine, saying “he was provoked”.
“I have considered that the accused was provoked, but he cannot go unpunished. He will pay a $20 fine,” said Lakwengi.
Prosecutor Cuthbert Botha told the court that on October 27 at around 0845 hours, Vhuro found his pregnant wife in bed with another man at their matrimonial home.
Enraged, Vhuro heavily assaulted his wife with an iron bar, injuring her forehead and legs.
Vhuro told the court during mitigation that he committed the offence after he found out that he was being cheated by his pregnant wife.
“Your Worship, I was provoked.
“This woman is carrying my baby but she was cheating on me,” said Vhuro
