Members of the Kardashian family, with the exception of Lamar Odom's estranged wife Khloe, left the bedside of the stricken former NBA player and reality TV star on Thursday as speculation swirled that his life-threatening condition was worsening.
Odom had been visited by several members of his own family and the Kardashians at the Sunrise Hotel, around three miles from the Las Vegas Strip, as he battled for his life following a three-day binge at a Nevada brothel that included alleged use of cocaine and sexual performance supplements.
The 35-year-old was reportedly found unconscious and not breathing by staff at the Love Ranch South in Pahrump after allegedly taking 10 herbal Viagra and drinking most of a bottle of Cognac over the course of four days.
Staff were instructed by 911 crew to move him onto his side, at which point liquid poured from his mouth and nose, according to MailOnline.
Lamar is said to have been initially taken to the Desert View Hospital and was later driven via ambulance to the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas as he was apparently too tall to be flown by helicopter. He allegedly never regained consciousness during that time.
It is believed that several Kardashians left the hospital around midday on Thursday, using a delivery entrance in order to avoid television cameras that were camped out at the front and side of the facility.
There was nothing in the way of positive information regarding the 35-year-old's condition, with no update from either the family or medical staff.
Meanwhile, a TMZ report claimed his status had become more perilous and that his loved ones had been informed that the longer he remained comatose, the lesser his chances of survival.
Further rumors spread among the NBA community and members of the hospital staff that Odom's prospects were grim, as the fate of a troubled but much-loved ex-player remained in the balance.
