Ex-Generations actor Menzi Ngubane dumps Ashes to Ashes, gets new job as main actor

Veteran TV actor Menzi Ngubane seems to believe money talks and that "other thing" walks.
That's because the star has allegedly dumped e.tv's new telenovera Ashes to Ashes, a mere eight months after joining it.
THe former Generations thespian then moved to the channel's new drama Gold Diggers as a protagonist. He replaces Mbongeni Ngema, who allegedly left the soapie in a huff. But Ngubane's move was inspired.
The producers of Gold Diggers allegedly made him an offer he couldn't turn down.
Matlapulana Ragoasha, e.tv's spokeswoman, confirmed Ngubane's move.
"Menzi Ngubane played detective Nkonzo on Ashes to Ashes season 1. There are plans to include him in season 2, starting in March. He will appear on Gold Diggers later this year, although he won't be replacing Mbongeni Ngema. We are, at this stage, not ready to reveal details about the role he will be playing. It's part of the plot and viewers need to watch to see how the story unfolds," she said.
The move has laid to rest rumours that the debonair lady killer would soon be joining Generations: The Legacy.
Ngubane could not be reached for comment at the time of going to press. But three sources, a crew member and his wife Sikelele Sishuba's relatives, revealed last week at his wedding that he had joined the drama.
A crew member who did not want to be named because he was not allowed to speak to the media, said Ngubane joined the soapie about two months ago.
"His wife told us he had landed a plum job as the main actor in the drama. The plays the younger brother of Mbongeni Ngema," said the crew member.
