Nyembe has finally spoken out about the allegations made against him after Sunday night's Date My Family.
"Yes, I know I owe some people but I will pay them back. Others signed a non-refundable deposit so there's nothing I could do," he told Daily Sun.
The show seems to have opened old wounds for many who were watching.
It was the first episode to feature gay men looking for love and had many viewers glued to their screens. But it appears this was also because some people alleged, bachelor GudLuv owed a number of them money after promising them acting jobs on various soapies.
"I had a client last year who wanted 60 000 people for an ad. I called people and told them to give me R150 to pay a photographer to take pictures of them," said GudLuv.
"Things were taking a long time so they decided to go to the client themselves. The client was not happy and told me my people were out of control and that he didn't want to use me anymore."
Gudluv said the money was non-refundable and everyone had signed a document affirming this.
Mzansi Magic head of publicity, Nondumiso Mabece said: "Siyanda was cast in his capacity as a bachelor looking for love. When contestants come onto the show, background checks are conducted to check their marital and relationship status. A big part of the verification process is based on full relationship disclosure from the person participating in the show."
